How is marketing handled in your business today?
Pick the option that sounds most like your business. We’ll only ask what applies to you.
We use a typical marketing manager salary to estimate the cost of this time.
How we estimate the cost of staff time
We use example yearly salaries for the Toronto area: coordinator $69,390, marketing manager $109,890 and senior leader $146,340. We add 20% for employer costs. For a mix of roles, we estimate half the time at coordinator level, one-quarter at manager level and one-quarter at senior leader level. These figures show the estimated cost of time spent on marketing, not a payroll saving.

Why better marketing matters to your bottom line
Research published in Harvard Business Review found that businesses that made branding and advertising a top priority were twice as likely to grow their yearly revenue by at least 5% (67% versus 33%). A separate review of 127 studies found that stronger marketing skills go hand in hand with better business results.
